  • An Intervention

One of them went on the anti-war protest, shouted their lungs out, then got horrendously and staggeringly drunk. The other stayed at home, watched TV for a bit, and thought about the future. A touching, funny play about what happens when you hate your best friend.

  • The Bletchley Circle

The original three-part mini-series is set in 1952 and focuses on the reunion of four women — Susan, Millie, Lucy and Jean — who had formerly provided crucial intelligence during WWII. Rachael Stirling plays Millie, a streetwise bohemian type. The Bletchley Circle originally aired in the UK on ITV1, in September 2012, then on PBS in the USA and Canada in Spring 2013. It has been released on DVD worldwide. A second series has recently aired in the UK and is due to air in the USA in Spring 2014.

  • Sixteen

A British feature film released in Autumn 2013, Sixteen tells the story of an African former child soldier, Jumas, who is now living in London with his adoptive mother, Laura, played by Rachael Stirling. Jumas struggles to cope with witnessing violence in London as it brings back memories of his violent past. The film aims to convey an important message at a time when child soldiers are very prominent in the media. The film used KickStarter to raise the funds needed to complete. It premiered in Leicester Square, London on 14th October 2013 and was selected for the London Film Festival. The film was also nominated for The Sutherland Award at the festival; an award which aims to recognise the most original and imaginative directorial debut.

  • Variation on a Theme

Inspired by La Dame aux Camelias, and set amidst the glamorous and exotic society of the 1950’s French Riviera, Variation on a Theme revolves around the tempestuous love affair between Rose, a beautiful and worldly socialite, and Ron, a young bisexual ballet dancer with a keen eye for social advancement. The first production of this play anywhere in the world since its original 1958 premiere. Concluded at the Finborough Theatre, London on 25th March 2014.
