Tipping the Velvet star Rachael Stirling is devastated after splitting with her long-term love.
DJ John Lycett-Green, a pal of Prince William, has moved out of their cottage in West London.
Distraught Rachael, 26, daughter of TV legend Diana Rigg and Scottish landowner Archie Stirling, said: "It's sad really. Nightmare, nightmare. I'll be all right. I'll survive."
Friends of the rising star, who played raunchy Nan Astley in the taboo-breaking TV lesbian serial, expected her to marry John, who is grandson of the late Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman.
"I thought so too, but it's not to be," she said.
Her explicit sex scenes in Velvet stunned John, who famously mooned at photographers after a birthday party for Camilla Parker Bowles's daughter Laura in 1999.
Rachael said: "He hadn't realised how full-on they were going to be. He was shocked."
