Two more reviews

I have just added two more Theatre of Blood reviews.

I also added an audio review from the BBC Radio 4 programme Saturday Review. It includes an excerpt from the play featuring dialogue between Rachael and her co-star Jim Broadbent.

Press night reviews and new photos

Rachael Stirling

Well, it was Press Night for Theatre of Blood last night, and I've just finished reading the reviews from The Independent and The Guardian, which seem to be the only ones available at the moment. I'm very pleased to say that Rachael was praised by both: one says that she shone, and the other calls her "stunning and talented". It's not like we need to be told that, but it's nice to read a review that doesn't make endless comparisons to her mother, for a change — especially given the role!

I have also added some new photos to the photo shoots gallery. I found some particularly lovely posed photos of Rachael wearing jeans, a grey top, and a nice pinstriped jacket. She looks absolutely radiant and very cheeky.

In addition to that, I have added seven very similar new photos of Theatre of Blood, which were taken last night.

Enjoy the new photos and reviews! :)

"New" articles added!

Thanks to a comment left by a visitor to the site, I was able to find some more articles to add to the Press section, and also the rest of an interview I was longing to read the end of!

They're not new, but they're fun to read. :)

Theatre of Blood photos

Theatre of Blood

I have just added three new photos from Theatre of Blood to the gallery.

There are additional photos from the production at the National Theatre website; I'm surprised at how similar the stage production looks to the film!

Diana Rigg and Rachael Stirling interview

Dame Diana Rigg and Rachael Stirling

"The old British theatre, with its egos and thoughtlessness and easy jettisoning of those once loved, its tours and barbs and priapism and casual hatred, and its mawkishness — it is now, finally, dead, and replaced by cool ambition and analytic superiority. It would be hard to think of a better vehicle through which to encounter this change than a visit to Theatre of Blood, and hard to think of a better couple to meet to see this change in the flesh."

Rachael did an interview with her mum today's issue of The Observer and I have added the interview to the site. There was also a nice photo of Diana and Rachael together, so we scanned it in and have added it to the gallery.

Sorry the quality of the scan isn't great; newspaper print is annoying like that! :)
