Letter from Rachael

Over a period of several months, the members of our message board compiled a letter and a set of questions to send to Rachael. When it was ready the organiser of the letter, board member Lucy, emailed us to ask if we could send it off, as we live in the UK. We were happy to oblige and I took the opportunity to write an additional letter explaining that we run a site dedicated to her and her work. (We were unaware of Rachael having any knowledge whatsoever of the site.)

On 6th May 2006, just a week or so after having posted the letter to Rachael, we received a reply from her in the form of a seven-page, hand-written letter, answering all of the questions the board members had asked her in their letter, and also praising the site in response to my letter. It was definitely a shock to the system to everyone receive such a speedy, personal, and lengthy reply from Rachael herself! It was also a relief to us, as creators of the site, to discover that she has been aware of it for some time and appreciates it a great deal. We had worried that she wasn't keen on the idea of a website about her, so the knowledge that she likes it is very reassuring.

We have scanned all seven pages of the letter, which you can view on the site now, and also added some photos of it. In addition to this, we have transcribed the letter so that it's easier to read, and also so that people can see the questions that relate to each of Rachael's answers!

    I'm so happy that Rachael recognized you both for all your efforts and interests. Rachael is obviously a "class act." That's so cool she answered all the questions and so fast. It's great to learn more about someone who we all admire.

    Kudos to you,Bonnie & Claire!!We've always known this site is great,and now we know Rachael knows as well!Can't get much better than that!!I am so impressed by Rachael's humility and her praise for this site!!Yet again,we all know why we visit here:Rachael is truly an amazing force of nature!!

    Hi! I just found out about the site and I think it's GREAT! I love Rachel's work too. I think that she and Keeley really made us believe they' were in love..That's real acting!
    Can anybody sent me her adress or Keeley's? Thks a LOT!!!!!!

    Hi again! Listen, I'm going to london in July 20th. I'm staying only for the weekend.But I'd love to see the filming of the most recent movie of Keeley or Rachel…Can you tell me where they're shooting? I wrote a letter, but I don't think I'll be answered. Thks****Congrats one more time!

    This is a wonderful website, and I appreciate the honesty and genuine interest in Rachael's letter. It's good to know that hand written letters haven't totally gone out the window. Email's great, but to receive a hand written letter with the occassional crossing out and unique hand writing no matter how difficult some words may be, it is so much more personal, and very much appreciated Rachael. Thankyou.
