Synopsis
The Truth is a zeitgeist movie. It addresses contemporary and universal themes: with a darkly comic take it plays with the Me Generation's obsessions with the confessional, self-help therapy, and the eternal quest for faith. Lying vs honesty. The Truth is a lie. In therapy, like the outside world, there is a competition of truths. Everybody wants to impose their truth over others. Ultimately all the characters but Mia are lying and — Mia is dead! The movie imerses the audience in its characters and does not confirm who is the killer — because all the characters are ultimately complicit. The audience decides their own truth, and the debates are fierce.
