Boy Meets Girl promo

Boy Meets Girl

Thank you to visitor Kyle for alerting me to some promotional material for Boy Meets Girl, which I've added to the site: Boy Meets Girl promotional material (it's a PDF so you'll need Adobe Reader if you don't have it already, though you probably do).

It features the great "pop art" image of Rachael shown above, though it appears to be more of a graphic artist's story board than anything else. It may give you an idea of the sort of show we can expect, though.

I wonder when we're finally going to get Boy Meets Girl. I'm hoping they're just waiting for an available four-week slot to crop up, not that they've decided to put it on hold indefinitely! Even if they just release the DVD and don't put it on the telly, that'll be something…

Boy Meets Girl release pushed back

Well, it looks as though the UK DVD release date of 15/09/2008 for Boy Meets Girl has been pushed back to an as yet unknown date. What a disappointment! I was really hoping to be able to get hold of the DVD before the air date. There's no sign of an air date on the ITV website yet but I'll keep an eye out and give you all an update when I can.

What I do know is that it's been described as "Freaky Friday-style" and will be aired as four 60-minute episodes. Its target audience is younger adults and apparently it will be broadcast during the 9pm timeslot. No indication of the day of the week yet, but it could possibly lead on from Lost in Austen, as that is currently taking up the 60-minute timeslot at 9pm on Wednesdays…

Boy Meets Girl DVD release

Well, it appears Boy Meets Girl will be released on DVD in three days' time (according to Play.com) but as of yet, there have been no signs to suggest that it'll be on our TV screens any time soon. Very odd indeed.

I have to say I'm amused by the "artwork" currently used for the DVD cover on Play.com — that was actually a temporary image I knocked up in Paint Shop Pro for the Boy Meets Girl section of this site. I didn't expect it to be used to promote the sale of the DVD!

I'll be trying to get hold of the DVD as soon as it's released, but I'll also keep an eye on the TV guides. There have been a lot of the same old articles but no real information about the programme yet. I expect, like most ITV dramas, it'll just pop up one day without too much of a song and dance. We'll probably start to see trailers for it in the coming weeks.
