Happy Halloween!

I don't really have much in the way of new information at the moment, but I wanted to do a quick update to remind those of you in the UK to watch Rachael in The Haunted Airman tonight on BBC Four, from 10.00pm-11.10pm! I'm really looking forward to it.

I've also added a couple of new photos to the gallery, taken when Rachael attended a book launch earlier this month. Thanks to Belyn for those!

Oh, and I found out that Fox has bought thirteen episodes of Beyond, so we'll have to keep an eye out for that.

The Haunted Airman: Clip

This is a short clip from the BBC Four drama The Haunted Airman. It features Rachael Stirling, Robert Pattinson, and Melissa Lloyd.

The Haunted Airman

The Haunted Airman is a tense and suspenseful adaptation of Dennis Wheatley's horror story, The Haunting of Toby Jugg, which is about the terrifying experiences of a combat veteran who has come home from the war. It has been written for the screen by Chris Durlacher, who has also produced and directed the drama.

In 1943, Flight Lieutenant Toby Jugg, confined to a wheelchair after being wounded in action, arrives at Llanferdach, a remote mansion in Wales, to recuperate. Owing to what might be post-traumatic stress, Toby suffers nightmares and hallucinations. An unexplained noise or the movement of a shadow makes his flesh creep.

Llanferdach is overseen by psychiatrist Dr Hal Burns, but Toby is a reluctant patient, and instead craves the familiar love of his Aunt Julia. However, Julia is not answering Toby's letters. Suddenly, Julia arrives at Llanferdach, but instead of bringing comfort, we begin to suspect an unsettling love triangle between Toby, his aunt and his doctor. Like many Wheatley novels, the ending is sudden, unexpected and unforgettable.

Rachael plays Julia Jugg, described in the novel as an Italian satanist who was born in 1909 and died in 1942.

Harrods commercial

There was a problem with the link to the Harrods commercial I posted yesterday. Thanks to Lucy for pointing it out! It has now been fixed and you should be able to download the file from the audio section now. I wonder how much demand there'd be for that clip as a cellphone ringtone…?

This one took a while

Look Back in Anger

I'm going to make a serious effort to update this website at least once a week from now on (providing I have new stuff to add), otherwise it gets on top of me! So here's another update. Lots of new stuff today.

We have found out that the new film Rachael mentioned in a recent interview must be Dangerous Parking, which is filming at the moment. It is a British film about an cult director who ends up living the rock 'n' roll life and heading down a path of destruction. Rachael will play Kirstin, a young alcoholic who has 'seen the light' and helps him get back on his feet again. I've given it a very rough estimated release date of September 2007, because that's when Rachael said her next film would be out.

I also heard from the UK distributor for The Truth today, who informed me that the film will be released on DVD in January 2007 (at last!) so I've popped that on the calendar. He also sent me a copy of the DVD cover for the release, which you can view in the gallery.

I've also added a new video. It's just a short clip of the upcoming drama The Haunted Airman, and the clip I've uploaded features Rachael in character as Julia Jugg.

There are also six new audio clips. It seems that Rachael has been doing a bit of voiceover work lately, so you can hear clips of her talking about everything from moisturiser to Jane Austen. If you live in the UK, listen out for her voice on TV adverts for Waitrose, Harrods, Telewest and Olay!

We have several new photos, some which were sent to me by Belyn at DianaRigg.net. Some of them are un-watermarked versions of photos we already had in the galleries, but others are completely new. I've also screencapped one of the promos for The Haunted Airman.

I've added a nice new interview to the site, which was sent to me by Horatio. Thank you! Another review of Look Back in Anger has popped up, too.

We have a new affiliate, Pattinson Online, which is a fansite dedicated to Rachael's The Haunted Airman co-star Robert Pattinson. The folks at Pattinson Online have also very kindly given RS Online the award for Site of the Month! :D We've never won an award before, so it was a lovely surprise and I'm so grateful. They made us a lovely award image and I'm very touched.

Robert Pattinson Online: Site of the Month

Thanks so much, you guys!

Okay, now it's time for bed. I started this update before 8pm and it's now… 12:30am. And I haven't moved from my desk. That's dedication for you. I wish it didn't take so long to update, though! Maybe then I'd do it more often! ;)
