Today I finally got around to screencapping the DVD of Othello, the 2002 made-for-TV movie in which Rachael Stirling stars alongside Keeley Hawes, Eamonn Walker, and Christopher Eccleston. There are fifty-seven screencaps in total.
Sorry for taking so long to get these done; I know I've been promising them for quite a long time now!
In other news, the release date for the Marple DVD boxset has unfortunately been put back by a month since I last updated. The set should now be released on March 7th, all being well, and the cheapest place we've found it so far appears to be DVDPopcorn, where it is retailing for £20.25 with free postage and packaging. We had planned to put our recording of Marple onto DVD-R and take the screencaps from that, but instead, we've decided to wait until the release of the DVDs before doing any screencapping.
Our copy of Freeze Frame arrived a few days ago, and we watched it together on Wednesday evening. I must admit that I was a little worried about the film after reading so many poor reviews, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The storyline had me gripped from the start (which is a big achievement in itself!) and although the plot was, at times, a tad far-fetched, it was nonetheless a very enjoyable film with a very good cast. Obviously I'm biased, but I thought Rachael was on top form acting-wise, at the same time as looking incredibly sexy. The ending was a little… shall we say, unpleasant, but that didn't spoil my enjoyment of the film.
Freeze Frame screencaps will be coming soon!

What was your nickname when you were growing up?
At boarding school it was "Miss Sketchley". I was very particular about hanging my uniform up each night — so I got named after the local dry cleaners.
If you could only have one dessert for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Chocolate sponge pudding when the sponge is moist on top and the sauce is lurking in a dark pool — lush.
Who is the most influential person in your life?
Any authors I happen to be reading. At the moment it's Mozart's letters.
What do you keep under your bed?
Anything the vacuum misses. My bedroom is for sleeping — I don't do anything else, or keep much in there.
Do you sing in the shower?
No, I find that habit vaguely embarrassing. It could be something to do with when Dad took me Christmas shopping. He'd have to wait hours while I deliberated between lavender or orange soap. He'd burst into song in the middle of the shop to get me to hurry up.
Are you religious?
Yes, I do believe in God. My father is Catholic and my mum is Protestant. I love Catholic ritual but I would find it hard to choose between the two.
Do you remember your first date?
I remember clashing metal braces — mine and his — after a visit to McDonald's. I don't remember his name.
If I gave you an elephant, where would you hide it?
Up your bum!
Actress Rachael Stirling, 27, starred in the drama Tipping the Velvet. She lives in London.

Just a quick reminder that Freeze Frame, the 2004 film in which Rachael Stirling starred with Lee Evans, is out on DVD today, at least in the UK. Claire and I haven't actually seen it yet, because it was only shown for one day at our local cinema (how silly is that?) and one of us happened to be ill that day. Typical.
But, needless to say, we pre-ordered our copy of the DVD and it should be here any day now. We will of course be providing screencaps at some point in the near future.
You can buy the DVD online for between £9.74-£9.99 at the following places:
Amazon.co.uk — £9.74 (plus P+P)
Choices Direct — £9.74 (free P+P)
Play.com — £9.99 (free P+P)
There is also some evidence of this film having been released in the USA on January 18th, but I'm not really sure how widely available it is:
Amazon.com — $22.48 (plus P+P)
We bought ours from Play.com, for convenience's sake. I'm looking forward to seeing it!

I have just installed WordPress to manage the updates blog, as the makeshift script we were using before wasn't really advanced enough for my liking. This means that comments are now enabled, so please feel free to leave comments on any of the updates here.
We also have an RSS feed now, and a syndicated account at LiveJournal.com which you can add to your friends list, if you like. The syndicated account is located at http://www.livejournal.com/~rstirling_com/ and if you would like to add it to your friends list, simply go to this URL: http://www.livejournal.com/friends/add.bml?user=rstirling_com. You will then see all of this site's updates appear on your friends list as they are posted.
Let us know if you have any trouble with the way the site is now set up!

We recorded the Rachael interview on The Frank Skinner Show on Friday night, and have now put the video of it on the site for download. The show originally aired in October 2002, therefore the main topic of conversation is Tipping the Velvet. We also made a number of screencaps from the DVD recording, which can be found in the screencaps galleries.
The interview is definitely worth a watch, as Rachael is slightly drunk and quite funny, too. Hope it works for everyone!
